DAILY BREAD

Before the COVID-19 pandemic started, McKnight Church would visit on the first Tuesday of each month to supply a hot meal to those in need on the North Side of Pittsburgh through "Daily Bread" (formerly called the Congregate Feeding Program) of the United Methodist Church Union. At this time, MUMC is currently sending monthly donations of $75 in lieu of our in-person meal since we are not volunteering in person at the Daily Bread. If you would like to make a monetary donation for this ministry, please be sure to indicate "Daily Bread" on memo line of check or write a note with whatever means you prefer to pay with. Contact Bob Brown (phi42@aol.com or 412-369-5117) if you are interested in volunteering.

Clothing in high demand are underwear, socks, T-Shirts, and shoes and seasonal items.  Used clothing is acceptable. Toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant are also appreciated. Please bring your donations to the church and indicate for “NSFP” or Bob Brown. Innovative ways to contribute are, collecting free samples of toothbrushes and toothpaste from your Dentist, collecting soap and shampoo from motels/hotels while on vacation and/or business trips, as well as collecting usable clothing from rummage sales.

The Church Union has a new website http://www.umchurchunionpgh.org.
