About Diane Curry Randolph
Diane is a 2017 M. Div. graduate of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary with an intensive in Missiology and a graduate certificate in Urban Ministry. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Christian Ministry Leadership from Geneva College. Diane served a year of seminary field education at Charter Oak UMC, where she worked closely with the church’s local and global mission initiatives. Diane has gone on mission trips to impoverished regions of Jamaica, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa and the Kingdom of Lesotho, Africa. Most Recently, Millvale Church financed her third trip to Uganda where Mariam Akidi, a six year old girl, is now supported by the church in continuing her education at God’s Love and Care School and Orphanage for five years through Healthy Communities Unlimited, Harmony PA.
The granddaughter of a Methodist minister, Diane grew up in Pittsburgh, and was raised in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She answered her call to ministry as a young mother of three children and served at Miracle Church of God in Christ, Aliquippa PA, as part of the Minister’s Alliance in 1994 while attending Greater Works Outreach School of Ministry focusing on clinical pastoral counseling. She was on the team that started a counseling unit and ultimately served as a part-time Christian counselor.
Diane is an ordained minister in two non-denominational ministries and served at Miracle Church for nine years in ministry leadership, preaching, and biblical teaching. While serving as a Stephen Ministry Leader at Christ Church, Grove Farm, Sewickley, she felt God calling her to further her education.
While at Pittsburgh Theological seminary, Diane sensed her calling to The United Methodist Church for the holiness of its Wesleyan theology and dedication to justice. She then began the clergy candidacy process. She enjoys preaching and teaching the Gospel in ways that invite and encourage others to live within the Kingdom of God now.
She is grandparent of three small grandchildren.
Diane understands her call to ordained servant leadership as a sacred calling and responsibility. She eagerly serves as pastor at Millvale and walks with the congregation to live into God’s dreams for the church’s ministry in whatever form those dreams may take the church.
GOSPEL John 20:24-31
24 But Thomas (who was called the Twin), one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, ‘We have seen the Lord.’ But he said to them, ‘Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands, and put my finger in the mark of the nails and my hand in his side, I will not believe.’
26 A week later his disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were shut, Jesus came and stood among them and said, ‘Peace be with you.’ 27 Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here and see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it in my side. Do not doubt but believe.’ 28 Thomas answered him, ‘My Lord and my God!’ 29 Jesus said to him, ‘Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.’
30 Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book. 31 But these are written so that you may come to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through believing you may have life in his name.
