The wonder that we’ve been given the light, that we are part of the community who see it, that we are some of the ones who get to know how completely and utterly beloved we are, and that God invites to be part of “handling” a light that holy— It takes my breath away.
So today I invite you, too, to wonder, even in your everyday life: to watch clouds floating by, to see the odd tumbles that dry leaves take in an eddy of wind, to feel the water and soap on your skin as you wash your hands. Savor the creation, and know that you are beloved by God.
I’ll see you Sunday,
Becky
Prayer
Holy God, we give you thanks for the wonders of creation: for soap bubbles, for the white fur of rabbits in winter, for the structure of ice crystals. We thank you that we have been given eyes for seeing these things and so many others, and minds to contemplate them, and creativity to wonder at their place in the world. Bless our hands and minds and hearts, that we might participate in the stewardship and care of your creation. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
