Loving God, we give you thanks for the beauties of this season: for the sunshine, for our recent rain, for the beginnings of fall color. We thank you, too, for the gift of our church community, steadfastly coming together in your name for worship, for study, and for service. We ask that you keep our eyes and ears open, holy God, for the next opportunity to serve you and all your people around us, and also to know that we need not meet the world with anxiety, but rather welcome and love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
