March 22, 2026 Fifth Sunday in Lent

And finally, I hope that you can make it to one or both of our upcoming Lenten Soup Suppers.  We’ve been looking at gospel passages and some of the art that has been created around them.  If this sounds scarily formal to you, let me assure you that it is not—we have had some lively discussions, and the reviews are really good!  It has been a good way to talk about interpretation and assumptions, and to see possibilities and stretch our understandings.  And now that there’s still daylight at the end of the study, no one has to worry about driving in the dark.

Looking forward to seeing you,

Becky

Prayer

Loving God, we come to you in this time of Lent, when we can acknowledge that the world is not already healed and whole, and when we can acknowledge that we are not already healed and whole.  We thank you for this time of honesty and reflection, and we ask that you bless us with it.  Telling the truth about our lives is not always easy, but truth does offer security when held in your love:  we know who we are and who we have been, and yet we also know that your love always goes before us, and always sustains us for the journey.  We give you thanks for your love and for your perfect grace.  Amen.
