Prayer:

O God, still creating, still renewing,
we hear your promises of a new day of joy and peace,

and even after all that you have done for us,
we are sometimes still skeptical about the particulars.
Forgive our lack of steady faith,
our quickness to believe that you do not hear us.
Do a new thing in our hearts,
that we might be glad and rejoice in your abundant care;
through Christ, we pray. Amen.[1]
