Some people would say, “But we’re in the presence of God all of the time,” and they would be right. But there’s something to be said for setting time aside to be intentional and focused on our relationship with our Creator. The rhythms of worship can help to order and reorient our lives toward God and toward each other—bringing us together to love, to worship, to confess, to pray for ourselves and for other people, and then to think together about the Scriptures that we have been given. I look forward to it every week.
Grace and peace,
Becky
Prayer:
Gracious and loving God, we give you thanks that we can gather in freedom each week to worship you. We give you thanks for the body of Christ, all those with whom we gather, and for the gift of a community of love and support. We ask your continued blessing on this community, that we might respond to you faithfully, and share your love with those around us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
