I’m looking forward to seeing you in church this weekend, well-rested and refreshed! This is the week that we start worship at our new time: 9:30. It’s a half hour earlier, and it will be cooler and you’ll have more of your day left after church!

Lord God, Creator and Redeemer,

We thank you for summer,

For all the ways in which disruption of the usual

Can be a wonderful thing.

We thank you for opportunities to see family,

To celebrate transitions,

To return to favorite places

Or to explore some new ones,

And simply to read or play or rest.

You who created Sabbath

Know better than we do that we need rest.

Thank you for making it a holy priority. Amen.
