Ministry isn’t always a defined moment or a particular project—it is also a way of life, a way of being in the world. Those projects often still need to be accomplished—we can’t just “wish” love at the world—but an essential part of witness is simply the way we live our lives. So as you go through your week, I invite you to remember who you are, to be aware that our lives are part of our witness.
Before I close I want to celebrate the success of our Harvest Dinner! Thank you to everyone who cooked, everyone who decorated, everyone who cleaned up, and everyone who came. It was a time of good fellowship and excellent food.
I’ll see you in church,
Becky
Prayer
God of our past, present and future,
you created each one of us in your image and likeness,
help us to recognize you in each person.
As we pray for an end to suffering caused by racism
lead us this day to walk with one another,
pray with one another and work together,
so that we create a future based on justice and healing,
where all can fulfill the hope you have for all peoples.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.[1]
