I will be back in the office beginning July 14th, and we will be in final preparations for VBS. As I announced on Sunday, we have 18 kids registered (maybe more by the time of this newsletter!) and we are looking forward to a rich time of wonder and science and God’s love. Please pray for that as well: pray for our students and our teachers, for good weather so that we can spend some time outside, and that the kids will know God’s love and sense that they are always welcome in God’s church.

Prayer

Holy God, in this time of summer travel, we pray for all who are on vacation or who are traveling for other reasons. We pray for safety on the road, for wisdom to know when to rest, and that we remember to savor the moments when we are tempted to hustle from one thing to the next. We pray as well for those who cannot travel, whether for physical or financial reasons, and who sometimes feel lonely at this time of year. Grant them peace and refreshment in other ways. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
