And finally, this coming Sunday begins the last week to donate nail clippers for the hygiene kits we are making at Annual Conference for our mission project there. Wayne will stop in on the 10th or 11th to pick them up so that we can take them to Conference with us. Thank you to all who have already donated, and who have even asked your friends to donate! Our goal at conference is to make 1000 kits, and each district was assigned one component to gather. Pittsburgh’s was nail clippers. As of right now we have 102 nail clippers in our basket in the front hall, and that doesn’t even count the nail clippers that I already took to the Pittsburgh District Conference. Thank you for your generosity!

Holy and gracious God, we give thanks for the way that this community responds to the needs in our community, be it very local or as wide as the conference or the state. We thank you for the grace that works in so many hearts, and for our Methodist desire to helpful and present wherever there are needs. We ask that you continue to nurture that desire in us, that we may continue to humbly serve you, and to participate in the representation your love in the world. Amen.
