June 22, 2025 Fourth Sunday After Pentecost

And overall, the spirit of conference was so good—so full of hope and laughter and community and such good music! Bishop Steiner Ball reminded us that the Spirit is still at work, that smaller does not equal weaker, that fewer does not mean not enough, and that different does not mean less than. God is still calling United Methodists to worship and to ministry in Western Pennsylvania! (And by the way, before they took the supplies back to the Mission Barn, we had made a total of 1575 hygiene kits to be distributed in our area—not bad at all!)

Blessings on you throughout this week, and I’ll see you in church—

Becky

Prayer

I included for our prayer this week the prayer that the bishop invited us to pray every day for our ministry in Western Pennsylvania:

God of healing and hope,

Break through the messiness of our lives with the power of your Holy Spirit. Re-connect us with you, so that we can hear your voice more clearly and allow your love to be reborn in our hearts. Break through with your resurrection power to re-connect us with one another and lead us to new partnerships in our communities. Reveal to us your new and next steps for reaching, welcoming, and developing your people. Empower us to share the good news of your transforming love and new life. Amen.
