This has been a very long process, but it finally culminated in my ordination last Friday night. And I am very glad to have been serving at McKnight for all of my provisional years. You have had a great deal to teach me, and have been both welcoming and supportive, and I am delighted that I have been reappointed to this community again this year. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your love and your grace.
With gratitude,
Becky
Prayer:
God of love and presence and grace, we see so many journeys throughout the Bible. We see Abraham, leaving his homeland for an unclear future. We see Jacob, traveling away and back again. We see Jonah, first trying to escape his call and then finally going to Nineveh. And we even see Jesus, traveling all over his homeland to teach and love his people. We know that your presence was with each of them, and we trust that your presence is with us as we make our own life journeys. We ask that you would teach us how to know your love and presence, and to share it with others as we live out our journeys, that we might also be a blessing to others in our lives. Always in Jesus’ name. Amen.
